Regan: This tech stock market really is different usa tODAY

Regan: This tech stock market really is different: "Product advances from the likes of Apple, coupled with the increased use of mobile phones and wireless products worldwide, have ingrained tech into our everyday lives in a way that was once a 1999 pipe dream. According to Pew Research, nearly 72% of Internet users use Facebook to connect. With heavy use and increased transparencies, people have grown to trust and take advantage of the online marketplace.

Naysayers will insist valuations are out of step with reality and, in some cases, they are. Without a doubt, there will be more losers than winners in this space. There are also serious worries about how much cheap money from the Fed is contributing to valuations. Nonetheless, tech is the engine that will continue to power new leaps forward in our economy.

2015 is just the beginning.
