He has now been seen in no less than nine ISIS propaganda videos, filmed in Syria and Iraq, with all of the most recent videos filmed in Mosul.
In July he discussed the bombing of Mosul University. Again, he appeared thin and had longer hair than in previous propaganda footage.
He was also shown in a propaganda video uploaded by ISIS on March 18.
Mr Cantlie's skills as a journalist have been exploited by ISIS in an attempt to lend credibility to propaganda films, including a series titled Lend Me Your Ears.
His father Paul, 80, died from complications following pneumonia in 2014."
